The Father of Ayurveda â 600 BC
Maharishi Charaka was one of the greatest physicians and thinkers in the history of humanity. Born around 600 BC, he was the principal contributor to the Charaka Samhita â considered the most comprehensive medical text ever written.
Charaka was the first physician to document that disease arises from imbalance â and that true healing comes from nature, diet and lifestyle. His system focused on preventing disease before treating it.
